THE LOST CONVERSATION OF ROQUE JA AND THE BONE COUSINS
      A silly fan addition to Bone by Pixievolt No. 1
             Based on the comics by Jeff Smith

In the Bone series of comics, Book 5, we met a new
character, a mountain lion named Roque Ja. (For some reason,
everyone kept calling him Rock Jaw.) In the middle of Book
5's first chapter (page 624 of the One Volume Edition), he
instructs our heros on the proper pronunciation of his name:

   --- FIRST PANEL ---
Smiley Bone: A star? Hey! I think he means Phoney Bone!
   What's he want with him?
Fone Bone: Yeah! Hold it right there, Rock Jaw!
Roque Ja: R-r-roque Ja! R-r-roque! You're not rolling the R!

   --- SECOND PANEL ---
Fone Bone: What's this hooded guy want with our cousin?

So, what happened between those two panels? Probably nothing
of interest. But yours truly, Pixievolt No. 1, being the
bad-to-the-bone bone-head that I am (great puns!), has
decided to take that conversation and spice it up a wee bit:

Smiley Bone: A star? Hey! I think he means Phoney Bone!
   What's he want with him?
Fone Bone: Yeah! Hold it right there, Rock Jaw!
Roque Ja: R-r-roque Ja! R-r-roque! You're not rolling the R!

Smiley Bone: Oh, yeah? What if we don't want to r-r-roll the
   r-r-r?
Roque Ja: That is simply how my name is pronounced, and I
   shall thank you to honor that.
Fone Bone: Well, we don't like you and this Hooded One
   business! We'll pronounce your name however we want!
Smiley Bone: Yeah! We r-r-really don't like you!
Roque Ja: Ar-r-re you mocking the for-r-reign
   pr-r-ronunciation of my name?
Fone Bone: Of cour-r-rse we ar-r-re! Why should we go by
   your-r-r r-r-rules?
Roque Ja: Fir-r-rst, you intr-r-rude on my mountain, then
   you disr-r-respect my ver-r-ry name! Need I r-r-remind
   you who is Master-r-r of the Easter-r-rn Bor-r-rder-r-r?
Bartleby: R-r-r! *
Roque Ja: Silence, you r-r-round ear-r-red r-r-rat
   cr-r-reatur-r-re!
Smiley Bone: Don't you talk that way to Bar-r-rtleby! I've
   near-r-rly had it with you!
Fone Bone: All r-r-right, Smiley, you've made your-r-r
   point. Now, Rock Jaw...

yes, I am aware that rat creatures are really more of the
hissing-type. But for obvious reasons, that didn't quite fit
